OOPs I enjoy the season change by preparing for the October festivities and baking pastries.
Would love to win:)!
Our family celebrates the season change by spending more time outdoors once the temperature starts getting nicer. This festival could be a great start for the fall season for our family.
I would love to take my kiddies….
Originally being from up north, my husband and I are both used to actual season changes. Here in south Florida it isn’t the same as when we were growing up. Now, as we are raising our two little ones, we try to do as many activities with them as we can during these times. This festival seems like the perfect way to celebrate the season change and we are hoping to be able to take the family on Sunday.
Even though Florida does not show a huge change in seasons, we love this time of year! We go to the pumpkin patch each year, choose a pumpkin to decorate, and take hay rides.
My family and I enjoy the change of the seasons by giving our home a “fall” cleaning, having a garage sale and making room for upcoming holiday guests. We’d love to kick off the season with tickets to the pumpkin patch! My email is mmaalvarez@gmail.com – thanks!!
When fall comes it’s time for pumpkin pies and the picking of halloween costumes! BohemianBabushka@gmail.com BB2U
We celebrate the change of season by attending more to the parks with bicletas because the sun is not so hot
I’ve seen families do this on television shows, & have always wanted my 7 yr old to experienced that.
Even though we are unfortunate to have the ‘typical fall weather’ here in Miami, we always embrace the change of seasons! And the best way we start is with our pumpkin countdown! (painting our pumpkin with chalkboard paint and writing/counting down our days until Halloween!!) Together we enjoy decorating our home and yard in Fall and Halloween decor, picking up seasonal books at the library, doing fall & Halloween arts and crafts projects together, baking Halloween treats & snacks, creating/making treat favors for classmates, finding new and creative ways to carve/decorate our pumpkins each year, playing games like: guess what’s in the witches brew? (cooked spaghetti–guts, peeled grapes–eyeballs) and race a pumpkin. The boys are really excited to go to the Pumpkin Patch and be able to experience for the first time, dressing a scarecrow and completing the hay maze! oh.rubbish@hotmail.com
Starting October 1, we decorate the house for Halloween. As the month goes on, we add more decorations in anticipation of Halloween night. Every night my 3 year old and I pick an activity related to Halloween. It can be anything from decorating foam pumpkins, carving our pumpkin, reading a Halloween book or watching a movie, like Charlie Brown’s Great Pumpkin. Every night she picks one of her many Halloween PJ’s and we are off to bed. We do the same routine for Thanksgiving and Christmas, spending the entire month in anticipation for the holiday. The baking in and of itself keeps the house smelling yummy all season with Pumpkin Bread, Pumpkin Cake, Hot Chocolate (I bring the AC down for that one) and so many more. I love the holidays and am so excited to make my baby’s holidays just as amazing as mine were.

We travel up North to visit family and pick apples. There, we can experience a true Autumn experience and watch the leaves change beautiful colors.
